Veneers
WHAT MAKES US THE BEST SMILE DESIGN EXPERTS IN BEVERLY HILLS?
If you want to achieve a celebrity smile, we can make that happen. But if you’re seeking a more natural look, what we like to call “perfectly imperfect,” veneers can work for you too. Whatever your end goal, we customize your veneers to fit you and compliment your facial features.
Our smiles are designed with the health of your teeth as a top priority. Therefore, our philosophy is to preserve as much tooth structure as possible. Many people judge veneers on just before and after pictures without taking into account how much tooth was prepared to get those results. This is why we emphasize minimal prep, since, if you take good care of them, no dental treatment can beat your original teeth.
Some people have a misconception about dental veneers, that they are somehow “fake teeth.”
In fact, these thin pieces of biocompatible porcelain place on the front of teeth can fix many dental problems. Your teeth may be too severely discolored and can’t be significantly whitened. Or they may have been chipped or cracked, are too small, too far apart and you want to close gaps.. Veneers can be made to exactly match the shade of your teeth so that no one will even know you’ve had the upgrade. At Beverly Hills Dentistry we are experts at creating your perfectly natural smile with veneers.
At Beverly Hills Dentistry, we’ve helped thousands of patients for over thirty years. Call us to receive an expert dental veneers consultation.
TRANSFORM YOUR SMILE
At Beverly Hills Dentistry we specialize in Porcelain Veneers. Veneers are a great option to enhance your smile. Veneers are thin porcelain coverings over your teeth that will provide the desired shade and shape. that generally requires little removal of tooth structure. Your teeth will be minimally prepared or shaped to allow room. These restorations provide a conservative way to restore your teeth.
Porcelain veneers can be restorative or cosmetic. They are typically used to fix a variety of dental problems such as discoloration, worn down teeth and even small gaps in between teeth. The process usually requires three different dentist visits. The first visit is the consultation followed by a proper veneer fitting appointment and a final visit to permanently secure the veneer to your tooth.
The process of applying porcelain veneers does involve removing a very slim layer of your tooth in order to properly fit the porcelain veneer. Not only does this help lock and hold the veneer into place, but it also makes the veneer appear as natural as possible.

7-Step Veneers Smile Design Process
Step 1:
We will have a virtual or physical consultation to be sure your teeth are ready for veneers. We will review your dental history and create an outline encompassing our process, as well as discuss your aesthetic goals.
Step 2:
We will take photography, video, and impressions to start the design process. We will also discuss, in person, by phone, or remotely, about designing the smile that best aligns with your desired aesthetic goals. During this two-week process, our team will use the impressions and photography/videography of your features to create the facially driven design.
Step 3:
You will return to the office to try on the initial proposed design with an acrylic material. During the discussion with our team, you can provide additional feedback and we will make adjustments.
Step 4:
The preparation process will resume and during this step, our team will be as conservative and meticulous as possible. This is done to ensure we are still consistent in meeting your aesthetic goals as well as preventing any additional or unnecessary work from having to be done. Once the preparation is finalized, we will fabricate a set of temporaries that will follow the final design discussed in the previous steps.
Step 5:
After a week, you will have a call with our team to confirm you are not only satisfied with the design, but that it meets your desired goals as well. We will then proceed with fabricating your custom design with the porcelain material.
Step 6:
During this process, our team will spend a large amount of time with the lab so the veneers meet our standards of craftsmanship while following your aesthetic goals discussed from the initial consultation. The fabrication process will take 4 to 6 weeks as we go through our quality control checklist, making sure everything is up to par with our standards.
Step 7:
For the final step, you will return for the cementation process, and we treat this process with the same attention to detail and quality as the preparation procedures. Everything is done meticulously to ensure your veneers have the strongest bond possible. After this, we can work with you to perform any follow-up checks and visits to ensure you are continuing to be happy with your results.

FAQ
What are dental veneers and what are their benefits?
At Beverly Hills Dentistry we specialize in creating customized veneers made of thin slices of dental porcelain. These are adhered to the front of teeth that are chipped, cracked, or worn, too small or big, misshapen, slightly crooked, easily discolored, or which have gaps between them that need to be closed. They can not only give you a more beautiful smile, but provide better alignment of your bite so you can chew better.
How are they created and applied?
After a thorough dental examination, including a digital x-ray (which uses minimal radiation), you and your dentist will discuss what needs to be done to create a new, gleaming smile worthy of the silver screen, but at a non-celebrity price. The first step is to shave off a small amount from the front of each tooth, both to help it adhere when the veneer is bonded to it and to keep the result from looking unnaturally thick. Then an impression mold is made of the area and this is sent to a top dental laboratory to craft each one in a shade to match your neighboring natural teeth (or a whiter one if you are having veneers on all teeth that show when you fully smile). Once the veneer is created, on a second visit your dentist will apply a bonding agent, attach the veneer to the tooth, and harden the bonding with a special light.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
If you properly care for your teeth and veneers, continuing to brush for two minutes twice a day and flossing before bedtime, veneers can last up to 10 years. However, they can be broken. In the first weeks after placement, you should avoid popcorn, hard candy, apples, nuts, seeds, bones, and hard biscuits. It is especially important to stop any nail-biting, chewing on pens or eating utensils, and opening bags or pulling on clothes with your teeth. If you grind your teeth when you sleep, a custom mouthguard can be created to keep them and your veneers from being damaged.
Do I need to whiten my teeth in advance to match the shade of the veneers? Do veneers stain and how do I keep them the same shade?
If your teeth are especially dark and you want a whiter smile, you need to determine how many of them show when you smile. All of those should receive veneers and because veneers are translucent and dark teeth may show through, you should have these professionally whitened. You cannot whiten veneers once they have been custom-made to the chosen shade. They do not easily stain, but you should brush after drinking coffee, tea, or red wine and reduce smoking, since these may cause some discoloration over time.
